Fahrenheit 451 Journal

"No one has time anymore for anyone else." pg 23

This line is important because it shows how much their world has changed.  Everyone is so caught up in their own lives that they don't even have time for an actual conversation with someone anyone.  Everyone lives in their own world and they don't want to be bothered by anyone else.

  1. I think that this is a pretty good explanation of this line. The only thing that I don't agree with is when you said how everyone is caught up in their own lives. People in this world are more caught up in just having fun and not really caring about anything, so they don't really have interesting lives to be caught up in in the first place. They seem to be interested by their own lives, yet if life has no meaning how can it be important to them.

  2. Yeah, they're more brainwashed than caught up in their own lives. But I agree, almost everyone lives in their own world.

  3. I agree, because they don't use their emotions, they don't want to interact with others that could potentially provoke emotions. I like the line you chose!
